Try Till You Die

I have heard many definitions of success over the years , but I read a new one today that really impacted me. Mark Batterson said one of his personal definitions of success is trying until the day you die. If we're still trying, we're succeeding. Giving up is losing. Trying is winning! The true measure of success is this: how hard did you try? We must always try and never, never, never give up. We must work hard at whatever God gives us to do. We must shake off discouragment like the plague. We must never walk in the condemnation of the enemy when we feel like we have failed. If we take credit for our failures, then we will take credit for our successes as well. Which is the very reason why we need to learn how to encourage ourselves in the Lord. If we know how to encourage ourselves in the Lord, which is one of the keys to a victorious Christian life, we will keep trying until the day we die and be a true success in the eye's of the Lord. |
